I'm Darcel, Your hostess here at The Mahogany Way. Wife to Charles for seven years, but we've been together for ten years, although sometimes it seems alot longer. We have three children. Nakiah(Na-ky-ah) or Kiah as she calls herself is 6.5yrs old. Ava is 4yrs old and Samuel was born in May of 2010.
We live in Virginia Beach, VA. We're originally from Dayton, OH and lived in Minnesota for a year.
I'm super passionate about pregnancy and birth. My last two children were born at home. Here is Ava's story, and Samuel's story. I'm still working up the nerve to publish Kiah's story. It will be this year.
My dream is to become a homebirth midwife.
We're an Attachment Parenting, Radical Unschooling family. You can check out my old unschooling blog Luv N Harmony. That blog was started as a way for me to keep track of our unschooling adventures. I started this one in May 2009 and wasn't really sure where I was going with it at the time. I went back and forth on"do I keep two blogs or merge into one" Obviously I decided to merge them into one.
I know that I could not parent without my husband's support. He chimed in with his thoughts on birth.
